Levels them faster.

I also like to dump every single battle boosting power on my friends so when they get into a random wild mon fight it takes them 10 minutes to get to the selection screen.
Same thing with spamming their PSS with "Nice!".

IIRC, you gotta send level 2s to get level 3.
Level 1s stop counting once you get level 2.
