That's just an average. You can catch it on the 1st % of the time calculated or try until the pokémon struggle.

Deoxys is far less of a pain in the ass than the cover legendaries, because it doesn't have Rest/Aqua Ring. Deoxys mainly just spams Agility and Psycho Boost until its special attack is too low to do anything, then recovers occasionally.

The only thing you need to worry about with Deoxys is tanking the first Psycho Boost, which Rayquaza can do pretty easily. After that, he becomes hilariously pathetic.

Did GameFreak do something to the legendaries catch rates in this game? I caught both Mesprit and Heatran in the first Pokeball I threw, which was a normal Pokeball. I also caught Kyogre in a normal Pokeball in 5 attempts, Suicune and Entei in 2, and Azelf in 3. I kinda don't wanna bother getting the rest of the legendaries if they're all this easy to catch.

Just kill it, and then slap up Steven.

It will respawn at Spear Pillar where you can actually grind up a Pokemon that can tank its attacks while being able to Synchronize its nature.

Save your Master Ball for a shiny that has a chance of teleporting/exploding/mementoing/roaring you away.

This picture fucking triggers me. They're basically the same game. Japanese Blue is the one with unique version exclusives and it's also fairly rare if I remember correctly.

No, Japanese Blue is actually quite rare and is what the american Red and Blue are based upon. Japanese Green and red were the very first games released in Japan and featured shitty sprites, due to all the complaints received about the sprites not matching official artwork Game Freak created Blue, which revamped many sprites and sold it through mail order services.
