For the uninitiated, Flower Gift gives 1.5x attack and special defense in sunlight. This thing will have a whopping 150 attack stat in sunlight. The only thing holding it back is needing to set up sunlight, and its pathetic physical movepool which can be supplanted with some special moves.

Given sunnyday support, it'll be able to do a number to teams that don't have dragons or fire types. With a reliable recovery move, the ability to heal itself of statuses, and the massive 150 SpD. in sunlight, it can also serve as a great stall 'mon.

It's just that really lacking movepool. I know it's a flower, but if only it got Woodhammer...

60-80 BP means no 40 BP utility moves get boosted and you're only running 90-120 BP at best.
Stuff like pixilate regularly makes gardevoir hit 180 BP STAB moves that hit both opponents and goes behind substitutes.

It's still pretty mediocre, those defenses while being weak to knock off, sucker punch, pursuit, earthquake, water, rock, and ghost. It's almost no better than mega Manectric or Mega Blastoise

A slightly wider movepool. Maybe the inclusion of icy wind which could be classed as a sound based move and therefore do more damage.

Boosted speed and special attack and maybe a bit of a nudge in sp. defense.

Made it bulky to let it take advantage of Cosmic Power and Recover. Also went with more speed and Rattled so that you can't get in a SE hit on it without making it faster, making it kind of a bulky sweeper. I tried my best. Honestly, the poor thing needs a proper evolution, and then for THAT to get a mega evolution in order for it to be good.

I know what you're trying to say, but that's not how the game works. Mechanically speaking, Mega Evolution doesn't just add to the attributes of a Pokemon. What the game does is closer to, well, regular evolution. Type, base stats, and abilities are all replaced with the Mega's values.
To put it another way, consider Ampharos to Mega Ampharos. Instead of just adding Dragon to Ampharos's current type, the game is overwriting whatever type(s) Ampharos happened to have with Mega Ampharos's Electric/Dragon. You can test this by playing around with Skill Swap. Computationally speaking, Mega Evolving your Pokemon doesn't literally add stats/types/abilities to the base form. The game completely replaces those values with those of the Mega, just like how it replaces the model.
We've had in-battle form changes for four generations now, and they've always worked the same way.

You mean "will be a issue". Dodrio would get fucking walled by them and have no way of getting by them since Normal and Flying are literally the only usable attacking moves it has.

At least Talonflame can counter Steel-types with Flare Blitz and can U-Turn to safety when it needs to. Dodrio has neither option at its disposal.

It could possibly use steel wing for rock types, but that probably won't work very well considering most rock types have high defense. On the other hand, Dodrio can switch out more safely than Talonflame since it doesn't lose half its health to Stealth Rocks, so it can let other Pokemon on the team deal with steel and rock types.

Water Veil prevents it from getting burned. It helps it keep its head up in RU and UU, where it is likely to get burned by 'mons like Cofagrigus or Chandelure on switch in/set up.

Kingler really has a lot of room to work with. I could've just given him huge power, but its meant to be a mega-evo that can be used in the lower tiers as opposed to being on the verge of ubers.

Actually, with the ability to use Extremespeed on the turn it's Mega-evolving it's broken as fuck. Guaranteed to kill one or two things, but at least it wont team sweep without support like Mega-Mence in OU due to having to run Flare Blitz to do good damage and only having 65 base HP. Wishpassing and support makes Flareon viable.

Man 100 BST is still not looking great but hey its better then nothing.

So I would imagine this as a tank with some nice special attack. May need to modify the movepool a bit but as it is I think Grumpig has some decent coverage options.

As much as I love the Parental Bond Marowak, I've come up with an alternative:
MegaWak
Ability: Huge Club
Doubles Attack a la Thick Club, and some combination of the following:
1) Bone based moves hit Flying/Levitate users for 1x
2) Bone based moves gain a 30% boost in power (pseudo-ate ability)
3) Bone based moves gain perfect accuracy, like Toxic on Poison types

1 and 2 I'd say are necessary, 3 is icing on the cake but I'm unsure if it'd be overpowere-

Man this is terrible, it would probably hit weaker than any other Mega. Mega fucking Slowbro hits 130 SpA. The only thing comparable with that kind of offense is M-Altaria, which also has Dragon Dance and Pixilate for STAB.

If you want to make it bulkier, fine. But it really needs Protean or something with SpA that low.
