I disagree, I think it's a great mega form. It largely keeps the original form intact, while adding a bunch of extras that make it better!

Also, the horn on its forehead makes it. Can't help but stare in awe.

The fact it's going molten could be it having trouble containing it's newfound strength. Give it sheer force or even a unique ability to help it become a bit more viable.

I fucking love Golem, though. This is one of my favourite mega designs, even if it's just a fan one.

If they made the whole "moves to mega evolve a thing", then weakness policy Golem could actually be viable I think.

So long as there are no hazards, it having sturdy could let it set up like Carracosta, and then the evolution gets Filter or something with a boost to it's defense and attack

the shoulder spikes could be done better, but it does need some heft on its shoulders and some of that specific shade of blue between its horns and tail tip, so they serve their purpose. they don't ruin it at any rate, the overall design is good.
