this is such a stupid name. "HURR DURR, I have wings, so i'm FLYING" what about Hydreigon? Flygon?

they should have called it "wind" type
and levitate shouldn't be an ability, but a hidden ability for Pkmn who are floating in mid air in their different representation
WHY THE FUCKING FUCK SOME BRONZONG CAN FLY OVER THE GROUND AND THE OTHERS JUST CRAWL MISERABLY IN THE MUD. COULD YOU IMAGINE A FUCKING BRONZONG, or worst, a bronzor, just hopping in order to move? that make no FUCKING SENSE.

But they're clearly Plants and not all Grass type Pokemon resemble grass. Same as Steel types. I really doubt many Steel type Pokemon are actually composed of Steel.

things like earthquake cause shockwaves. some bronzong can levitate well enough to avoid the disruption, others cannot. magnezone can't avoid it because it disrupts its magnetism.

they're not flying types because while they can fly, they're not as adept at it as flying types. same reason most pokemon aren't "fighting" types despite the fact they can "fight"

Is Flying Pidgey's secondary type? Yes. No one's arguing that.

As someone who studies Pokemon battle strategy for Smogon, I am telling you, in competitive battling, no one calls Pidgey a Flying-type. If you want to be "specific" like you said, then you shouldn't either. They're not the same thing.

If you're saying "Flying type" you're referring to a Pokemon with that single type, which includes only Tornadus. If you're saying "Pokemon with a Flying secondary typing" you're referring to a much larger group, which includes Pokemon like Pidgey, Spearow, and Yanma. So your reasoning for calling Pidgey a Flying type is because random people "call any part-Flying Pokemon, Flying Pokemon?" Let's get Dragonite and Salamence in there, too.

Also, calling Onix a Rock type or a Ground type? It's not one or the other, that's not how damage calculation works. It's both. A Pidgey is a Normal type and a Flying type. But that's not what you said. You said Pidgey is a Flying type, which is not true unless you're okay with calling all Pokemon with Flying secondary typing Flying types, which means you'd call Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres Flying types, too. Which you said you don't.

It's okay to just admit you're wrong, you know?

There are so many birds they have their own NPC trainer.

It's not a flying type trainer is a bird trainer.

calm down m8, but I agree with you. Levitating should be innate like a pokemon's weight. Flying should've been Wind so Wind pokemon could exist without needing to fly/hover in anyway (pic related).
Also so they aren't immune to Ground moves, because Mud Bomb and Bonemerang exist.
