What are the best HM slaves? Linoone seems great since it can learn Cut, Surf, Rock Smash and Strength. It can even learn Dig and Secret Power, and if it has Pickup you get free items. Assuming the drop table for Pickup is the same as X and Y, which was also identical to the one in Black and White 2, there are some valuable items depending on your Pokemon's level. These include Heart Scales, Leftovers, PP Ups, King's Rocks and a few other evolution items. Is there any better HM slave than Linoone? Now as for non-HM move slaves, I'm not sure which are better since Linoone can learn Secret Power and Dig. But I wouldn't doubt that there's someone out there who can hold more of those extra convenient moves that are used outside of battle. Is there another Pokemon out there that can hold the same moves as my Linoone, but with an ability that holds a better out of battle effect?

Also why the fuck can Linoone use surf?
