Of course, this wouldn't simply pass without an explanation. "Think about it. You want to waste all your energy here, and have nothing left for the clown? You want us to waste our energy, and have nothing left for the clown or the dark knight? They know they're beaten; they'll stay out of our way from now on, because they know they'll just lose again. Get some sense, move on, and fight the clown."
There was one more reason to call off the dogs of war, but Mike refrained from mentioning it just yet. Doing so would mean declaring an end to the alliance; he didn't want to have to, but if it was necessary it'd happen.
