Brilliant story, touched up graphics, the loading screen was much faster, best gen, lots of cute pokemon to use, and an overall happy, friendly atmosphere.

I know this is off topic, but I've ordered a 3DS and Omega Ruby, it's gonna arrive tomorrow and I'm excited. What do you guys know about this 3DS? I've never owned one before and this was the only one I could afford.

I know there's an XL version, what's the other version? I feel like a slightly larger screen wouldn't be worth the extra £60.

2ds. Same size screens, but can't fold. The screens are less glossy and the controls feel better.

You might feel like this, but you are wrong. The upside of this fact is that you won't know it until you actually played on a 3DS XL. Regular 3DS will get you through fine.

Oh, I know about the 2DS. I don't really like the 3D but I do like being able to fold the DS, plus the 2DS bundle was the same price as the 3DS + the game so it wouldn't be any cheaper. My girlfriend has the XL so I'm hoping I won't regret my purchase after seeing them side by side (she paid £160 to get hers slightly used with animal crossing)

The default is my favorite 3ds console. Sleek, beautiful sound effects, easy to navigate, and the 3d pokemon battles are still fun even after all this time. I really just fucking love the 3ds. I find the larger one awkward, and the 2ds is a fucking joke.

Better than a 2DS, you did good.

I still have mine from launch day. It had physical problems like the infamous scratching screens but the white ones were released after they fixed them so yours will be fine. Check out other games , the 3DS has a great catalog. Fire Emblem, Smash and Kid Icarus are must haves in my opinion.

Agreed. Glad I didn't get the XL so that I can get the N3DS when it releases most likely next holiday season, probably with a special edition pokemon version which I'll aim to get since I wish I could've gotten that sick pikachu XL
