What's the most fun tier to play in? Just started playing on showdown a month ago, initial impressions:

> OU - Fun at first, gets boring quickly.
> UU - Pretty fun aside from Blissey and fat Luvdisc fags.
> RU - Too much bulk.
> NU - All of the same shit.
> PU - Pretty fun playing with shitmon, but still a few dominating pokes.

if you want to have fun in OU, just try some neat experiments. Honestly competitive pokemon can get a little stale if you're just running a meta team.

Is there a good way to break the Blissey/Alom cores or should I just resign from such stall matches? If it's just one on a team it's manageable but both is hell.

Ubers is the best meta. It's like chess, actually. You have one or two really broken/disgusting pieces, kind of like queens, and a bunch of weaker but still relevant pieces to work with. The goal is to draw out your opponent's queen and destroy it. If yours is destroyed, you have to work with the combined efforts of the rest of your team to kill your opponent's strong piece.

Also, if you get low on the ladder, you run into a bunch of easy wins against children, hipsters who refuse to use legendaries (ubers is all about legendaries...), and people who just want to test out an OU team to see how it does in ubers. Bottom ladder ubers is almost insultingly easy, unlike low ladder Ou and UU (in my experience, lots of trolls trying to do shitty stall teams with no plan for how to win).

the most variation because nothing broken. Sure there are more common picks than others but nothings really too overbearing as every pokemon as some sort of flaw. Not like other tiers because you have to run certain pokemon to deal with huge threats.

The only pokemon that's a little too powerful in NU is probably tylphoson because you can bring it in later game a full HP and it fucking destroys everything. Though I'm not sure it's stong enough for RU. Same with sawk.

People say UU is banhappy but the bans really help, there's really no OP strategy that any scrub can use and get ez wins like in OU. You don't get dozens of pages in suspect threads for obviously broken pokemon, people who know what they're talking about recognize them as broken and get rid of them.
