With Smogon being rather ban-happy and sending things to ubers where they don't often pan out because they have to go up against top-end legendaries, do you think there's room for a tier between OU and Uber now? Pic semi-related.

No, because OU is the highest usage-based tier and ubers is its banlist.

Yes it turns out if you just use super effective hits on it from ubers it will die but

It shits on basically all dragons except Dialga since they are basically always choiced, and intimidate helps stop a lot of physical attackers from OHKOing it. the only thing that really conters it is Groudon and is primal and Ho Oh

You're assuming someone would let you out speed them with it. Seriously, Mawile is shit in Ubers, especially since it takes a slot that can go to MegaMence, Mega Gengar, Mega Mewtwo, Mega Kangaskhan, etc.

Mega Mewtwo is shit compared to life orb and Mega Mence is shit on by Mega Mawile. I understand it's not A+ rank but mawile isn't shit, it forces switches on every dragon not named Reshiram (which no one uses) or Rayquaza. Then you swords dance and sweep since only two pokemon can eat an attack from it

Primal Groudon is on literally every team. Running things hard countered by it is suicide. Running megas that are hard countered by it is even worse.

Blaziken has a Mega which is shit on, Lucario is shit on, Mence is if it runs stone edge, and the only other Mega is Kanga and Mewtwo....which aren't comfortably taking any of Primal Groudon's attacks

I would say that Blaziken can make use of the turn groudon comes in to swords dance and get a speed boost to baton pass it away. You wouldn't need it's mega for this, though.

Yeah, big luke doesn't like the sight of Groudon at all. It's still a lot more diverse than Mawile I'd say, with swords dance and nasty plot.

Honestly though, what mon in ubers can? Mawile is a rather single-minded offensive pokémon taking up a mega slot, which could be put to better use, depending on the needs of your team. It doesn't help that Ubers: the mon completely counters it and gets a free switch in opportunity.

Like i said, it's not A rank but its not shit. Lots of pokemon are shit on by Groudon and saying this mega getting countered by it is a death sentence is kind of over exaggerated since (almost) every Mega does poorly against it. Also no one runs EQ on Mence unless they want to get walled to hell and back by Ferrothorn
