Ideal IVs for a special attacker includes 0 attack IVs. So you need to pass 6 IVs instead of 5 if you want a 100% perfect Pokemon.

Not just swagger, also confusion. Since confusion damage is essentially using a physical base 40 power attack on yourself, that damage is minimized with 0 attack IVs. I prefer my Pokemon being perfect for all situations. ;)

I feel like if your opponent is dumb enough to use foul play against an obvious special set, you've pretty much got the match in the bag.

some Pokemon like Umbreon and Sableye use Foul Play as their only attacking move. So it's still worth it just to be on the safe side. ;)
