Unfortunately none of those have a particularly good card. Well, that's the bad news, so here's some good news too: both lines have theme decks making the cards really easy to get. Enchanted Echo comes with Sylveon and Mystic Typhoon with Espurr/Meowstic. Mystic Typhoon is the better deck overall.

I honestly have no idea why Seismitoad was made the way it is. If it had a way to get rid of it (switching your Active for example), it would be nasty but fair. Now it's just nasty.

I'm hoping for a Stadium that ignores all effects of attacks.

To be fair, it is a massive middle finger to those that are testing builds of their IRL decks for tournaments and such.

Hell, token/pack/ticket/card farming is probably the reason why they increased the minimum "qualification" time for the wheel.

Because PCL copypasta'd Zebstrika NXD's effect for Quaking Punch. Well, that and most effects (regardless of those effects being based in attacks or Abilities) that control what you can and can't play target the player directly.

This isn't the first time we've had a "No playing Items on your next turn" effect on a Pokemon's attack. Do you need to be reminded of the old Disconnect decks I mentioned earlier?

And there are ways to get rid of the effect by your next turn in the current format. Remember that Team Flare Grunt, Xerosic, and Lysandre exist.

You might want to change that to "All effects except damage", the way it's written implies that damage is included.

That depends on your definition of "usable". Outside of a few cards like Switch and Potion, cards from those sets aren't usable in Modified.

That's okay, you're just starting out.

As far as playability goes I'd recommend checking out the forums on PokeBeach and the PokeGym, mostly in part due to most of us focusing on the Modified format.

When you feel ready for the tournament scene but still feel daunted by big tournaments like Cities and States, consider checking out a prerelease tournament.

Man, I picked up 7 packs today from my walmart because I hadn't opened pokemon cards in like 8 years and missed the feeling, and also missed having cards. I've been looking up the newer cards too and some videos on youtube and such.

My first 8 packs had 2 nice holos and a lot of reverse holo rares, but these 7 packs gave me 3 ex's, and a full art reshiram from the radiant collection. In fact, in one booster pack, I got a Cinccino holo, Kyurem EX, and the full art Reshiram. I also pulled mega manectric EX and mega lucario EX. Im stoked, and worried that this will become an addiction. Save me vp
