>>22304967>>22304971>it adds diversity and makes the match-ups less integer-ybut the question is, would that even be a bad thing?
I'd love to see how the ratios of certain type combos would vary for pokemon that are currently of the same type.
Random example:
Blaziken 50%Fire 30%Fighting 20%Flying
Infernape 50%Fire 50%Fighting
Emboar 70%Fire 30%Fighting
Infernape has a stronger Fighting STAB than the other two, but gets more damage from Flying/Psy in return.
Emboar suffers the most from Ground/Water, while Blaziken also has a mild Electric weakness and is somewhat weak to Rock even though Fighting softens it a bit.
Typhlosion 100%Fire
Now this mofo has the harshest and most straightforward weaknesses, but in return its STAB is twice as powerful as that of Blaziken and Infernape.
(unless it'd gain 20% Normal or similar after implementation of the type bar)
If we're already smoking Fire starters..
Charizard 60%Fire 20%Flying 20%Dragon
MCharizardY 50%Fire 40%Flying 10%Dragon
MCharizardX 50%Fire 10%Flying 40%Dragon
