“They will be back soon enough,” Teej thought to himself
“So I should get them a gift, made with some of m’self.”
Teej looked through jewelry, but found it tacky and lacking
Even enchanted it felt like he was slacking
And then Pokémon items, but they were too common
Potions were plentiful; Pokéballs as ramen
Just as Teej felt he had failed, /vr/ soon arrived
Bringing with him knowledge of Games from his archive
A grin on his face he said, “Bro, don’t look so low.
“I’m sending you on a magical quest to Johto!
“You’re just thinking too hard, man, So I’ll fix this thorn
“You can craft Pokéballs by hand... with apricorns!”
The Rad Dude gave Teej an introduction letter
Explaining that the recipient was a debtor
“Old Kurt makes Pokéballs old school,” he said with a flair
“He owes me one so I’ll just send you out there!
“And before I forget,” /vr/ scratched his head to think
And gave Teej two apricorns, a green and a pink!

Though unremarkable the trip to Johto was,
Walking to Azalea Town put Teej’s heart abuzz
He sought out Kurt, the sage artist of the town
where with Kurt’s Granddaughter Maisy, Teej sat right down
Teej explained his desire and his predicament
While Kurt just sat there turning a deep red pigment.
“How dare you be so arrogant to assume!
“That I would teach you my craft; over my impending doom!”
As a last resort Teej produced /vr/’s letter
Still sealed, maybe it would make his chances better
The old man’s pallor did pale, his anger subside
He looked at the lanky gamer, trying to decide
Is this young man a fool? Or is he a pass?
“Well what are we waiting for, it’s four weeks to Christmas!”
