Magmortar and Electivire wouldn't be so shit if they kept their pre-evos speed and got good abilities

Sheer Force Electivire with over 100 speed would be pretty solid since its low BP moves would hit pretty hard

It's always been a huge threat in UU, at least since gen 4. Although UU isn't cream of the crop, but Donphan, Scizor, Celebi was OU for a while, Heracross, Suicune, Raikou in Gen 3, Hitmontop in gen 4, Politoed were all good or are still good

I never realized how perfect that would fit Marowak. That's actually pretty cool. Maybe in gen 7 we'll see mega items besides "-ite" stones and it'll have a Mega Club or something that helps regular Marowak as well as allowing it to Mega-evolve.

I think the idea for Heatmor/Durant was that, despite the obvious predator advantage Heatmor has, Durant was still designed to actually come on top, showing how type advantages aren't everything.
