That happened one time, in ubers. Owner of smogon came in like ten minutes after ban was announced, overturned it, took control of ubers and made the ubers leader apologize. So I wouldn't worry about your vote getting overturned, assuming you can get it (you won't even if you tried.)

The main reason people want Greninja at least tested is because there aren't many if any Pokemon that can safely swap in, and then kill it. Greninja 2HKO's most Pokemon, and if you use it mid-late game it will just sweep because of STAB everything. It is one of those Pokemon you can just put in your team if you're missing coverage somewhere because of its huge movepool + ability.

The idea is to move Pokemon into tiers where they're balanced. People don't think Greninja is balanced in OU, that's why it is being tested. Why this is so outrageous in a fanmade metagame I don't understand.

LESS greninja = more variety because people only have a few options to deal with geninja

with greninja gone people have more freedom to put more pokemon on their team that would otherwise be a problem with greninja running around

so with that 1 pokemon gone everybody can make more diverse teams

Genies not banned doesn't prove the point. Posting the "best" moveset for all pokemon basically gives people a model that they follow mindlessly and when their model doesn't put up well against variety then they get rid of the variety. Smogon is handholding and nothing more.

Battlespot, again, bans the event and box legendaries, and it has species clause. AG has NOTHING banned and no clauses, except for Endless Battle which is only there because showdown mods aren't paid enough hot pockets to deal with that.

I say greninja should be in OU because it has a low defenses destroys any shock such as a tolonflame with brave bird or gengar with giga drain etc. but starts to heatrean not always do because changing Heatran can make changes to pokemon that weaken easily.
If ice beam breaks to many pokemon voldaor tier type that gives a huge pontencial and gunk shot destresa the tale.
