ITT: What is the WORST thing you have ever done in a Pokemon game?

I traded my starter in Omega Ruby online.

I did this because I was so sick of going through Hoenn games with a Hoenn starter. I wanted a completely different type of team.

Back in gen three My Pokemon all got Pokerus, I had no idea what it was back then.
Having 'That Kid' as a friend he told me that it was a rare occurrence in the game and that if I were to set free all the Pokemon that had Pokerus, it would increase my chances of actually encountering a super rare legendary Pokemon actually named PokeRus. Being a complete gullible idiot I actually did so. Luckily none of my legendaries had it so I didn't loose much but man looking back on it now, I so wanna punch that faggot in the face.

Not him, but I struggled to finish Black2 and SS as well.

Black2 was because I was just too burnt out on Pokemon and I need a break.

SoulSilver was because I had dumped countless hours into it as a kid and it was the same fucking game, so I got bored fast. Never did make it through Kanto in SS.

I took it again in Y, and promptly boxed it for a Quagsire I had a friend trade me. I like Quagsire a lot and Squirtle just feels meh to me, I just don't feel any attachment to it.

I was getting a little bored of grinding as I hadn't played with the Exp. Share in AlphaSapphire and was at the League with a team in their mid40s. I'd already traded my main team over for the post-game, so I just pulled out my Lv. 100 Gardevoir and rekt the E4 and Champ with him. It was nice though, almost like going full circle, as he's from Emerald.

The actual changing seasons alone are great. That's better than too much water hoenn and too much mountain sinnoh. Only Hoenn appears to be more diverse/environmentally engaging while Johto seems to be the most nostalgic/comfiest region due to its rural setting

Oh wow, no.

Gen 5 was bland. It was robotic and felt twice as linear as Gen 6. Thankfully BW2 fixed the linearity well. Gym Leaders have always had personalities, what you're mistaking for depth is really just the same character presentation held on screen for a longer duration.

I actually really disliked Gen 5's routine of shoving the gym leaders in your face the second you walked into each town. Usually happened in a forced dialog scene where you lose control of your character and then get handheld straight to where the bad guys are hiding.

It really ruined any small mystery that the gym leaders had. I would always wonder before, what kind of person is this gym leader? What do they look like? What kind of Pokemon do they use? But all that wonder was taken away in B/W.

I caught a Feebas by luck without even knowing how rare the fucker was. I then leveled it up to 70 expecting it to evolve, but got pissed off without it evolving so I just released it thinking it was just a single stage collector mon like Farfatch'd and Dunsparce, enraged that I wasted days with no reward.

I spent way too many hundred hours in Ruby because life sucked then. I caught, grew, and beat all that I could with a single cartridge. I even encountered Latios on accident one day. Then I gave all my legendaries and favorite mons to an antisocial friend-of-a-friend who probably never looked at them after that. I never even thought of a later pokemon generation and transferring them up to keep playing with my Swampert and Metagross bros. The memory got worse and worse each time I look back at it, and I ended up wiping my save, which erased all of my other pokemon from those years.

When I was younger (maybe 8 years old or so) I had a Gameshark for GBC. I used some kind of cheat that changed the layout of some of the areas, so I saved in a spot that I shouldn't have been able to reach.

When returning to my game, I was stuck in an area that I couldn't leave, and I didn't have a Pokemon that knew fly to help me escape. I looked all over online for the cheat code that would help me get out of it and couldn't find one anywhere.

I had to delete my save with a few Pokemon I raised to level 100 without cheats. Was a traumatic experience for me as a young kid.

I caught a Cherubi in Diamond. Nicknamed her, trained her so she could evolve into the flower Pokemon I'd seen in one of the movies (I can't remember which one). I loved that fruity little creature. Naturally she evolved into overcast form Cherrim instead of the full bloom one. I didn't understand why and googled it, and for some reason I reached the conclusion that I was supposed to evolve it under sunny day for the sunshine form. I regretted my "mistake" so much I eventually released her.

why would people use their starters when superior alternatives exist? I remember I boxed my Quilava in HG at lv 22 just before Whitney (don't want rollout weakness), I boxed pignite before the electric gym and didn't even bother with it because I traded a reshiram from my friend.
