Chesnaught is a physical wall that's primarily meant to take on physically-orientated Ground, Rock, Water, and Dark types, as well as some pokemon it threatens with Fighting STAB. These includes:
-Mega Gyarados
-Excadrill
-Bisharp
-Mega Swampert
-Kabutops
-Lando-T
-Mega Lopunny
-Ferrothorn
-Diggersby
-Tyranitar
And so on. Additionally, it is a Spikes setter, and as a defensive grass type it's valuable to teams for having Leech Seed, which makes it pretty annoying for things trying to switch in to scare it out
It also has a pretty good physical movepool, allowing it to lure certain pokemon with Stone Edge/Rock Slide, threaten pokemon like Azumarill and Slowbro with Wood Hammer, etc. Sub+3 attacks is actually pretty good due to the number of switches it can cause and its SE coverage.
It's B+ rank in OU, for reference this is the same rank as Chansey and Skarmory.
