The only place where it can shine is in a dedicated team build around it.
Trick Room and Sandstorm at the same time. It doesn't mind any priority attacks (bar MLucario Vacuum Wave) and can hit pretty hard with STAB Sand Force-Boosted Gyro Ball.

some pokes arent as good in later gens like slowbro, some derps were introduced in gen2
but most pokes had some time to shine

Literally just bred Audino.

The Mega is actually pretty good. Counters Mega Sableye. It's excruciatingly unfortunate Healer can't work on itself, and I'm hoping they retcon it so it does in the future, but it can still manage without it, in Singles.

Now it can properly spam STAB Analytic Gyro Ball and things like Payback/Avalanche off a curse set, it has a niche like every single Mega is supposed to have rather than it being the "generic slow and bulky tank thing(?)" it is now that Camerupt and Abomasnow probably do better if anything.

Abomasnow is actually a pretty decent mega. It's at least RU/UU in usage unlike Pidgeot which is low RU at best

steelix was ou in the gen it was released man. it wasn't nu until this gen.

butterfree, arbok, raticate, farfetch'd, dewgong, wigglytuff, kingler, seaking, and ditto have been bottom tier since gen1

Obama is fucking terrible, even in ru. It dies so easily, is slow as fuck and not powerful enough to do much damage to teams before it goes down. Not even worth using in a hail team.

If you're leaving it out for more than one turn, you're doing it incredibly wrong.

It has 7 weaknesses and only gets slower on mega. You use it for the occasional blizzard/Wood Hammer to break a wall and ice shard to revenge kill while refreshing your hail

If it learned U-Turn or Volt Switch, that would be a staple on abomasnow's moveset.

Have you not played in the past few years or what

People were asking why Ditto wasn't Ubers since transforming into a set up Kyogre usually meant game over and it was responded that was the case because it's only as good as the tier it's in.

Mega Steelix, Mega Audino and Mega Camerupt are probably the worst.

Mega Steelix is simply outclassed.

Mega Audino is ok in theory, but doesn't get used in practice because nobody wants to waste their mega slot on a support mon.

Mega Camerupt is the only PU ranked Mega as far as I know, and it failed to get banned in the suspect test because it's just that shit. No notable resists and pitiful speed hurt it badly.

Ok this is what I don't get. When people say outclassed, does that mean bad, or just that you could use another pokemon to do the same thing?
