Kids these days worry me /vp/,and it's starting to make me feel old.
My mom got my two little sisters Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire for Christmas,and since I was visiting for Winter Break,I thought I'd watch them play and tell them stuff about Pokemon,like types and shit.I even asked them what their favorite Pokemon were and gave them each an egg for it.
How are kids so unreasonably helpless nowadays?I thought ORAS held your hand so fucking much,and yet these two are so insufferably lost everywhere.They both have a decent reading level,since they're in 5th and 4th grade,yet it seems like they can't do anything.They don't seem to pay attention or read shit,so they're asking me every 15 minutes to ask me where to go or asking me where the gym is in cities like Slateport and Fallobar.
Like shit,when they first got to Slateport,I told one of them she had to go to the museum,and she spent 30 minutes looking for it.She finally was standing in front of it and looked at the sign,and asked me "This says Oceanic Museum.Should I go here?"
Why don't kids explore anymore?Why are kids afraid to press any buttons before making an action?They don't even catch any Pokemon,and if they do,they just wondertrade them off and use wondertraded Pokemon.I don't mind how they're playing Pokemon much.If they wanna use the exp share and wondertrade,that's fine,but it's the fact that they get lost so often when the game holds your hand so much that frustrates me.
