So /vp/, who is the absolute worst Champion? Let's get a debate going. Pic definitely related, one of if not the worst. Just beat her and she's too fucking easy. Like, facing Brawly with a Taillow and Ralts easy.

How do people find this bitch easy? I had a team of Samurott, Eelektross, Zoroark, Darmanitan, Metagross, and Genesect , quite possibly the most autistic ingame team ever created, and I got my ass kicked 4 times before finally beating her.

She's literally Lance 2.0 but better.

The one I personally dislike the most is Cynthia, just because of GameFreak shoving her down our throats for all of gen 4 and 5.

Worst in-game champion is Alder, which sucks since I like his character, but gf clearly didn't want anyone to overshadow muh cynthia

BW/B2W2 were pretty decent. Sure, they were linear, but it's not like the games aren't.
My brother was 6 when DP came out. He beat Pearl quicker than I beat Diamond.

Nah, HGSS were decent and BW2 were pretty good too.
It's really hit or miss with GF they've just had a lot of misses recently and with the way they're heading now, the games will continue to be misses unless they get there heads out there ass.
I'm pretty doubtful though.

I still don't get it either. It's like she had two fossils to pay homage to Steven or something but everything else doesn't make much sense. Oh well.

I am so sick of this stale argument. Every previous Champion was plenty involved, it was nice to beat the Elite Four and have no clue who was next for a change. Added a nice sense of mystery to it.

maybe she's supposed to represent Kalos's diversity of pokemon. pic related i think.
we all know Kalos has the most pokemon in any main series game available pre-elite 4 so it makes sense to have a champion represent that.
i have no idea of why she has two fossils though.

Gameplay wise? From worst to best.

Wallace = Steven > Diantha > Iris > Alder > Lance > Blue > N/Ghetsis (N is a unofficial champ and Ghetsis serves the same role) > Cynthia.

Half the problem is monotype champions are completely stupid. Steven can literally be soloed with a Blaziken if you started with one. Wallace is equally bad as whilst he has a better balance, half his teams are the worst type of shitmon who barely threaten.

Diantha is equally guilty, her fossils don't even have their hidden abilities. She uses a ghost which has no immediately threatening moves with a retarded AI (Well Pokemon AI is horrible in general). One of the worst dragons ever in existance and a Mega-Garde without even it's strongest move in a gen where Aegislash was introduced.

Iris and Alder suffer from the monotype problem as well but less so in Alder's case at least he had a Outrage Druddigon to mix things up. Whilst Iris has a lot of strong mons but absolutely no type synergy to it so can be swept by a single type.

Beyond those lot the remainding Champions are pretty good to fight in their respective games.

OP here. I had Samurott, Eelektross, Volcarona (the one you get in that underground passage), Sawsbuck, Unfezant, and Krookodile. The only challenging mon she had was the Hydreigon. Ghetsis was much harder in White.

This is my second answer. He can be swept with one or two mons, but the reason I say Iris is because her team is a bunch of dragon and rock types. Wallace is very obviously supposed to be easy, all water type users are. Iris is supposed to be challenging, but isn't at all.

I thought Iris was fine as a champion. I came into the fight 10 levels under her and actually had a tough time. Not Ghetsis BW tough, but still had to scramble at points.

I fought Diantha 10 levels under as well and started the fight off one-shotting two of her Pokemon. The only pokemon she had that gave any presence of a threat was M-Gardevoir who got Toxic-stalled by my worst member, Florges.

Going to go with Diantha, as she may as well be a machine that throws pokemon.

My favorite would be Alder, but there's the bias that I've only played Gen1, 2, 5, and 6.
