It should follow the HGSS model of actually remaking the third version instead of the ORAS model of actually remaking the first pair.

If they are lazy DP remakes instead of Platinum remakes it will not be worth my money and I hope everyone thinks the same.

I like your taste, anon. It's also definitely not the objectively worst region when Johto exists. I liked all the cities in the original, so I hope they don't change too much. I can see Jubilife getting a Mauville-like treatment, though, since several npcs and the town map mention it as the most advanced city in the region.

OP I actually really liked Sinnoh as a region. It had an awesome balance of environments and pretty damn good music. The only thing I don't like about Sinnoh is most of its Pokedex and Barry.

Worst Pokemon (most of the good non-starter/legendary Johto 'Mon aren't even available until Late Johto/Kanto), worst league, too damn easy and overall just not as fun as other regions are. It did introduce many important/great mechanics though.

Sinnoh wasn't terrible, it was the god awful gen 4 engine that made it seem bad. The only things really shitty about the region is that Mt. Coronet takes up too much fucking room and the stupid snow/marsh slow routes.

Y'know, even when Sinnoh was a big disappointment for me, I have hopes for the remakes. It has a lot of potential, as we saw on Platinum, but it means that the remakes will only be good if they're based on Platinum and not in Pearl and Diamond.

Johto is objectively the weakest region of them all.
There was a serious lack of long lasting things to do there even in the remakes and a lot the pokemon it introduced are pretty uninspired. I would call them forgettable too but the anime made sure they weren't.
Then there's that relatively long dev time.

It really is the worst region and it doesn't even have the "it's the first game" card to use.

Nah, it's just a little tedious at times cause they REALLY amped up the useless HMs. The game is pretty decent. It's still a breath of fresh air to play it every year or two just to see how diverse the game location feels, and galactic are probably one of the best executed evil teams to date, only really sporting one major flaw that I'll let you find out yourself, because nobody acknowledges spoilers anyways.

we'll see D-X2 and D-Y2 this gen. next gen will most likely be that unknown third region both games keep hinting at and a sequel like B/W and B2/W2.

Gen VIII will consist of another new region and then Gen IV remakes seeing as Primal Dialga has existed since gen iv anyways. it just makes sense.

I would love for Weavile to get one. Ice types have been shafted for too long. Weaville is exactly what a Ice type should be, and because of that hes great. If he gets more Speed and ATK with a better ability, he will be a complete monstrous glass cannon.

Sinnoh was shitty because it wasn't really unique from route to route. It was hard to tell where you were if you just started up a game and looked around. It's a problem Johto and Kalos also suffer from.

Hoenn, Unova, and Kanto had some really interesting landmarks and routes. There is nothing like route 213 in Sinnoh.

What Sinnoh did right, though, were the cities. It's tied for best cities with Hoenn. While the routes may be lacking, the cities are all easily distinct. There's Solaceon, with the ruins it is built into. Sunnyshore City, which is the best port city outside of Gateon Port. Sapporo city was basically recreated in the form of Jubillife, pic related.

Hearthome and Veilstone definitely felt like actual cities, plus or minus a couple hundred thousand buildings. Eternia and Oreburgh broke the mold of boring early cities, especially with Oreburgh being a throwback to Pewter city, what with the city being in a valley.

The only cities that really aren't much to write home about are the one that Cynthia is from, and the one between Jubillife and Eternia.
