Awesome design. I didn't like him at first but he has become one of my favorites. You can just picture him floating ominously across the bottom of the ocean or something. I bred one to use in ORAS with adaptability.

It hits like a truck with adaptability and Draco Meteor. The only problem is that it is slow as fuck. I plan on trying a trick room team and running him on it.

Also, he has pretty damn good special D, so you can run an assault vest if you want. That or choice specs.

I fucking love him, ever since I first saw him.
Initially I was wondering if he would be any good because of his stats and abilities, but I still ended up using him in X/Y on my teams.

After he got adaptability, hes even better.
Easily love this guy so much. I would use him regardless of how good he is, but I'm happy to say that he did end up quite good competitively.

It's one of my favourite Pokemon from Gen 6. I think its design is brilliant.
Adaptability is an awesome ability for it. But it isn't too bulky on the physical side.

Fairy is resisted by its Poison typing and the only Physical fairy in OU is Azumarill, which gets destroyed by Sludge Wave.
It is weak to Earthquake, but just one weakness to a common type doesn't make it bad. And Dragon isn't weak to ground, that's the poison typing.

With +30 to base HP def or spd it would be good. But with junk speed and junk defenses it can get maybe one draco in before dying instantly.

Clawauncher has mostly the same problem, though it has a better ability with worse typing.

Meh. Specs are better. It takes 56 EVs in speed to outrun 0 speed base 50's iirc, max out SpA and the rest in HP, Modest nature. Moves are okay, though. I use it in RU and it's beastly, works pretty well in UU too, I'm told.

Clawitzer doesn't need to mega-evolve to be a gun. Mega-Stoise is better but costs you your mega slot.

In any case, I don't think anyone is going to argue that Clawitzer is better/more useful than Dragalge. Otherwise you would have given a reason why that's the case rather than bring up another pokemon that nobody in the thread mentioned yet.

Dragalge? I love it. The design and colors look great, and competitively, it's impressive.

I get the feeling that GameFreak designed it as an anti-meta mon. They introduced Fairies, so they made a Poison / Dragon type that hits harder than any other dragon to make sure that it stays relevant.

I mean, just think how easily it could have been a shitmon. Slow, not particularly bulky, maybe Dragon / Water type instead with a mediocre ability like Keen Eye.

The Dragalge we got is interesting, unique, useful, and powerful but still balanced and not insane powercreep-ey.

If only more Pokemon were like this.

I actually enjoy using it. Its typing gives it useful resistances against physical AND special attacks, so I run a Bold nature, max HP and Def, Adaptability, with Black Sludge. Main reason I use it is to set up tank fairy-types like Azumarill and Sylveon. Dragon Tail is for when I can predict the switch to a Steel-type or for when I have set up Toxic Spikes I can phaze to spread Toxic. Klefki and Mawile wall this set to hell, and back, though.
