The tiny stinging insects buzzed about the incline, trapping Hans, Mike, and Bakura. Soon afterwards came a hail of bullets, though many were blocked by the hide of Stahlos, who took up a defensive position around the three. Gas too, descended upon the party, soon set ablaze resulting in a fiery explosion. Again, Stahlos blocked the explosion, and the hail of stings that followed soon afterwards The blows were strong, but the mighty iron war-beast's hide was stronger, saving the three from the brunt of the assault.
Soon, the onslaught had stopped. Stahlos' back smoked, still red-hot from blocking the flaming gas explosion. With a groan, the mighty beast fell to the ground, sending a flurry of snow and rock into the air as the beast collapsed.
"Well, so much for the victory celebration" said Hans, heavily breathing. Stahlos looked around the incline, groaning in agony every so often as its master surveyed the damage.
Their vehicle was wrecked, the way back was blocked, and the way forward, which had once been a gentle sloping incline, was now a treacherous maze of spike-laden pits and crevasses.
