I remember one time someone did calculations and the only way that Rhyhorn could've one-shotted was if it was hideously over-levelled and Red never actually levelled up the Eevee he received, and even then it would still need a crit.

I just did calcs. Positive natured, fully invested Rhyhorn with a Life Orb against a 0 IV, negative natured Jolteon. Rhyhorn was level 80 and Jolteon was level 30.

For example that pikachu knocking out blaines rhydon by shocking its horn actually works in the anime world because the rhydons horn conducts electricity when its hit
