>>22370838It's one of the rare cases where they took a Pokemon that needed the power boost of a Mega and actually applied it well. It's no longer garbage, and it isn't a broken piece of shit, it's just a solid, versatile mon. The design builds on the base form, it looks cool and cuddly, and they got to tie it in with their new contest mechanics.
For the few people like me who liked Altaria back in the day and had left it behind due to it's inherent weakness, this thing was a gift. It's my favorite Mega so far.
