Little kids have to fend off getting fucking gangraped by monsters if they go in grass higher than their shins, there is constant sandstorms stampedes and rain, there's long fucking stretches of nothing with no shelter in the middle of a monster infested area, and don't even get me started on the goddamn roaming supermonsters.
Have you actually been to Unova? The lawn outside the lady that gives you starter pokemon is filled with fucking level SIXTY PLUS monsters. That's what they have to put up with with level five nothings. THIS IS THEIR LIFE. Toddlers are sent to school with goddamn psudo-legendaries and yet somehow you think a sanctioned gym is too much?
They're not just training you to beat up someone elses monster, they're teaching you how not to DIE IN HORROR.
