Your rivals heal you after every battle and they keep telling you how special and amazing you are.

I remember playing through Gen I/II when your rivals were a bunch of asshats that actually made you want to beat the shit out of them.

I bet if they remade Kanto Gary/Blue would be all nice and helpful too, healing your pokemon after every battle even if it's right next to a pokemon center.
