>>22388705If they do another Kanto game, I want it to be some sort of special anniversary game. Make it a true Kanto sequel, with a time skip to current day of the games with all the fancy new tech and features, plus all pokemon useable and a good selection of new species wandering around. Keep the original games as a base so we have all the original 150 available as normal, but toss in some other low-level birds/rodents/bugs and pepper in some newer generation mons throughout the game so we can use a good selection of our faves.
Update the region. Time has moved on and while Kanto is a small, cozy region, it had to update a bit. Saffron and Celadon city are now cities similar to/on par with Lumiose, Saffron being full of high-tech shit and neon lights and all golden looking, Celadon being full of shiny reflective buildings with flowers everywhere, like a giant green-house city. Other such updates to make the towns look unique and interesting.
Keep most of the leaders, but maybe switch up a few, or have us fight them in a different order due to new routes opening up so we have to see the region in a new way.
Add a sort of reverse Gen 2 post-game where we beat the Elite 4, become Kanto champion and then are able to travel through Johto, fighting the updated gym leaders and seeing all the awesome sights, with a post-game story running throughout. Once we finish that, we qualify for a World Tournament style thing where we can battle all the Gym Leaders and Elite 4 from all the existing games so far.
If we get any new megas for this, they need to be for Gen 1 and 2 starters, preferably a second mega for Blastoise and Venusaur and one each for the Gen 2 starters, one of which we should obtain post-champion when going to Johto. Other megas should focus on iconic Gen 1+2 pokemon with maybe a few fan favorites from later gens.
Toss in optional following pokemon for fun and either Sevii Islands, gen 3 Battle Frontier, or both.
