Hi /vp/. I just got Omega Ruby today, it's my first pokemon game I was a poor orphan and thus didn't get games and I've been playing it for a few hours and kinda want to see how I'm doing to make sure I'm not doing something totally wrong.

I have the first two badges
I don't know what Natures do
I read what the ability does but don't really have an intuitive understanding of which are good yet or if I should catch the pokemon again to try to get another ability
I know the difference between stats but don't know how they grow

Water Pulse
I really like wingull so far because it's fast and twister and air cutter are nice moves for hordes which I found out how to trigger by accident

It's attack moves aren't relevant, I use it to trigger hordes I mentioned above since it lets me upgrade that counter to get rare pokemon (I think)
Not sure about flash yet since this guy said the cave was dark but I never had to use flash
