So ebin forced maymays aside, what are the legendary birds supposed to be? When i was a kid i though Articuno was a dove, Zapdos was a canary and Moltres was a chicken, but now looking at them, they look like a jay, a woodpecker and a crane. Or are they just a roc, a thunderbird and a phoenix without focusing on anything from real life?
