I'm psure 80% of voters will be voting for it to go. We've discussed the problems gren caused in OU in previous threads. I would be interested to hear non-bullshit arguments for it staying though. Please no "it's not viable in ubers", "this [insert obscure pokemon] checks it" or "it's incapable of sweeping teams from turn 1".

There is like one argument that kinda makes sense, which is that competitive mons revolves alot more around checks rather than counters nowadays, which is true and considering that greninja does have a good couple of checks i can see where these people come from, especially since there are quite alot other things that barely have any counters in OU atm.

I don't really see how loom is a big problem with m-sableye around and volc is checked by zard. You could put like twave over toxic on slowbro to punish volc for setting up. Also twave seems alot more helpful in a speedy meta like battle spot.

Is it bad that I'm voting to ban Greninja for all the wrong reasons? I do feel that it's broken in OU but my main reasons for wanting it gone are that I think it's ugly as sin and I'm mad at Gamefreak for playing favorites with it. By all means give it the stats Ability typing and ridiculous movepool, but I'm gonna do my best to get the fucker banned.

Megagross has a nice movepool. It's so versatile that dropping something for grass knot will leave you susceptible to a bigger threat. Unless you want to invest in special attack and draw from your speed/attack and not make use of tough claws, there's little point in running it.

Yeah, as this poster mentioned. Dropping Mash leaves you without reliable stab against the many pokemon that resist psychic, and not able to hit fairies really hard, no Zen Headbutt gives Rotom-W a free switch in to grab momentum with volt switch, no Hammer Arm gives Heatran and Ferro a free switch in to set up rocks. Really, the only option I'd consider dropping would be Ice Punch, because even though that leaves it with difficulty hitting Lando T, most of them are scarfed anyway.

Hammer arm is nice for bish and ferro's of the tier but ice punch hits lati@s as well as any genie switching in. I tend to run eq over hammer arm since it's great neutral coverage, hits tran and lots of other things without checking accuracy. Does allow ferro to wall but I don't normally leave my physical attackers to take on ferro.

Grass Knot Meta serves as a pretty cool wallbreaker actually and the extra damage on slowbro is really helpful, since most people basically switch that thing every time. Of course you don't drop mash or headbutt for it, you drop one of your coverage moves. I like that set on the same team as some fighting type sweeper, because sniping (or forcing out repeatedly) Slowbro really helps breaking that.

healing wish/defog support with psyshock and draco is pretty common in the current meta. Probably timid, max speed, max spatk to compete with the current OU speed tier.

i don't really get the relicanth, it's just not that strong, you might as well use something like banded TTar, since that actually doesn't hit like a willy and gives you good support your mega bedrill will like (read pursuit).
Mega lopunny seems to give you huge problems, i'd probably shift some things around and get some bulky fairy in there. maybe azu or clefable instead of greninja?

Each of its sets has several checks is the reason. You may not be able to check all sets at once, but you can't check all viable pokemon at once. Why do you need to be able to be able to check every pokemon every time? Each set can be dealt with. And in general it doesn't do so well against choice scarfers either. A lot of which can easily out speed it, and it's frail as fuck.

And choice scarf may lock you into a move which sucks, but oh well it's what's required sometimes.

Ok, so as others have mentioned, Goodra is bad, just trash it for something else, if you want a specially attacking dragon, use a lati. Next, you're giving up an important coverage move on Metagross by using bullet punch, which I personally don't like. Meteor Mash/Zen/Hammer Arm/Ice Punch is the standard set, but as I mentioned earlier in the thread, running Grass Knot could be a great lure. Hammer Arm over Eq is personal preference, but it hits Ferrothorn, crucially, which is otherwise a major problem, able to come in on any of Metagross' other attacks, get damage off on it with Iron Barbs, then leech seed something else or set rocks up. Sableye is poor without its mega evolution, so I'd ditch that too. As others have mentioned, your Mandibuzz set is weird as hell, and it isn't very useful in this meta anyway. I realise I've just told you to bin about half of your team, to give you directions on what to put back on it, use something that can take Bisharp on well, so a fighting type such as Conk or Keld, and then carry something for Azumarill, not necessarily a switch, but maybe something that can threaten it out and maintain momentum with volt switch like Mag or Raikou, or is just very difficult to switch into in general like Thundurus.

Smogon UU, rate/help fix please.
Bulky offense I guess.
Mienshao is like this because I tried the scarf Reckless set and it just didn't work for me.
Aggron hard counters Florges, Beedrill and Crobat
Physical Slowking because mini Slowbro, checks Swampert and Crocune if I catch it early on
Amoonguss for ebic triple Regenerator core that removes the need for Defog/Spin, Spore is a threat etc
Crobat has good wallbreaking power and good speed, Infiltrator is what I got it for

What I don't have:
- Slow Volt-Turners to bring my sweepers in safely
- A scarfer
- Mega Alakazam and Sub CM Jirachi completely shit on me
- A good answer to strong physical grounds
- Nidoking and P2 also shit on me, only less
- Toxic
- A setup sweeper (Zygarde or Lum Taunt DD Haxorus orsomething) to take advantage of the free sleep turns
- Hydreigon should work well with Aggron but I've got no room for it

Also Sludge wave is superior to sludge bomb. Also consider acid spray on Tentacruel.
