Sheer Force Flygon don't sound bad at all, but to be effective, it needs at least 105 Base Speed.
Sadly, it only have Earth Power and Fire Blast as special options to abuse Sheer Force, and the physical lacks reliability. Dragon Rush, Thunder- and Fire-Punch, Rock Slide and Crunch.
Flygon suffers the same thing as Arcanine, none of its stats are low, but none of them are high either, and are severely outclassed by other Mons of the same typing.
Said this, Arcanine is reasonable used this season in Ranked.
