>>22412660The fun was pretty much killed from TPP after a week when the memes became codified and beyond overdone and you couldn't go anywhere without people mentioning it. /vp/ actually had threads banned because of linking to other sites in the OP which gave us a little reprieve, but in turn they took their butthurt to other threads for stealth threads.
Only other enjoyment I had with TPP was watching it in the background with friends as a party was winding down and the lot of us riffing ala MST3K on it with our own jokes about the shoddy movepools for NPCs and shit. We didn't obsess over it for weeks afterwards or go to twitch to spread the jokes, we just had some fun spontaneously and left it at that.
TPP.proved that socially, the potential for an in joke to be funny is inversely related to the number of people involved with it's spread. It isn't how many people know the joke but how many spread it that makes it unfunny.
