>>22417217I kind of agree with you. Usually I view remakes as something that GF does with their already built engine to make money and refine stuff like UI while they develop new games. ORAS has some good writing and I'm not sorry I played it, but it definitely feels like less work was put into making environments and building ambiance. Sharp contrast from XY.
On the other hand, Heart Gold and Soul Silver are some of the best Pokemon games out there. Fire Red and Leaf Green were pretty good, too. If they could put out a HGSS-tier Sinnoh remake, it would be awesome.
I genuinely don't know what Game Freak is going to do next. Obviously we'll get a new region in a few years, but as for the next remake... dunno.
