And now you know why nobody plays monotype teams in non-monotype formats. This is actually a gripe I've had with the games forever, the developers should seriously consider giving gym leaders more varieties of pokemon. At very least if the problem is that you don't want the X type master to use pokemon that aren't X type then just make it so gyms are themed on things other than just one type of pokemon. It's nonsense to think for a second that a serious competitive master would use only one type of pokemon - they'd never be able to defend their titles and badges would be worthless.
