What should I do, /v/? At the moment it will just be for wiping through the Pokemon League a second time but I would like to eventually battle others online.

For now just get your bros with good natures/IVs to learn the basics of breeding and EV training. Try and get through the battle maison with them. Then afterwards, look up a guide to competitive team building. As for the internet problem, I have the same issue. Dont really know how to fix it

DexNav for breeding. They will come preloaded with decent IVs and Egg Moves. All you have to do is start Egg Move Chains and IV Chains on mons.

You could make it a goal to make a full teams for each tier (RU, UU, OU etc.) Uber is a maybe if you're willing to soft reset for perfect legends.
