>Life Orb Weavile can't OHKO him with Ice Punch after IntimidateIf it runs the shitty 252/252+ spread.
As a defensive pokemon, Lando-T has no sort of recovery and few resistances. Fighting, Posion (lel,) Bug (lel,) and an immunity to Ground and to Electric when every electric carries HP ice. Sure, it can pivot into a lot of pokemon, but usually takes a lot of irrecoverable damage in the process, e.g. it's taking a minimum of 62% from 2x CB Talonflame (with the shitty 252/252+ spread.) Being relied on so much by offensive teams as a pivot means it can be lured by Wisp X-zard, Wisp Talonflame, Ice Beam Tyranitar, Ice Punch Lopunny (50% min, with shitty spread,) SD Garchomp, and some other stuff. It's not infinitely bulky and it doesn't have recovery, it's getting worn down pretty easily.
As an offensive pokemon, it's not too special beyond having a lot of bulk. Its secondary STAB is useless, for one thing. 145 Atk is good, but you can't invest in it and Def at the same time and using a damage boosting item means you have absolutely zero recovery (Life Orb makes this problem worse.) Bulky waters, Grasses, and some flying types can all check it pretty well.
I mean it does seem like I'm shitting on it, but it is really good, which is why it's so common. It's definitely not ban-worthy though, because, while it's really good, it's just not broken.
