So, I'm bored as fuck, and I decided to go for it and try to fill out my pokedex
My question is, which game should I try to do it in? Will it be easier in X or AS?
Also, tips and shit for pokedex completion are more than welcome.

You can get more from ORAS than XY, but you pretty much need both to get everything that is not a event.

alone, it's oras, but if you bother to get friend safaris in xy, then they end up having the more pokemon.

There are a few exclusives that you can only get in Y and OR (Groudon, Yveltal, Throh, Skrelp, etc.) Although with the introduction of the GTS, this isn't so much of a problem. Also I recommend using AS as your main game and playing through X multiple times so that you can get all the legendary birds as well as multiple Xerneas that you can use to trade for other legendaries you don't have.

yeah, i kinda figured that's what I'd do
And I figure it shouldn't be too hard to get Groudon and Yveltal through GTS with some extra Xerneas

You need all 4 games (ORAS + XY) or previous games and Bank to get them all because of version exclusives. or you could just use GTS for what you can't catch.
