I generally try to have at least one female in my party, usually with a feminine-looking Pokémon. The only time where I had a full-male party was in X.

My friend was pretty autistic. Of course we all are but why not laugh at each other?
He had to have males on his team and didn't like his Pokemon to ever faint. Also he liked certain natures(he liked Brave) and not others despite not really understanding EVs and the like.
Iirc Brave nature is minus some crucial stat but I didn't tell him.
