ITT: sad stories that somehow relate to playing Pokemon.

Never figured it out. I came here becauseIdidn't know what to do. Everyone just poked fun about powersaves. I don't even own that, so i have no real ideas. I got a Rotom, Bisharp, Ditto, a shitty Meowstic, and a Sylveon on the way, in terms of competitive, but I've yet to meet another shiny since.
I lost about 2/3 of a box full of shinies, one competitive and some others with potential.

These guys fucking get it. If you lived your dog as much as you say, you'd already know that they live for the attention and happiness of their favorite people. You're literally killing her by distancing yourself. It will hurt you more if you're close, but don't make your beloved dog carry that pain.

Thanks man. Saying good bye was the hardest part. Thinking how I don't get to wake up to her warm tail wag is getting to me. The thing is that we have another pooch, so one can only imagine how he feels without his big sis. I have a hard time with death, so that's why I couldn't accept her death even before she died.

Told this story on /vp/ before but one more time won't hurt.

When we were 19 my best friend from school, who I still met up with whenever we both came home from university, completed our red and blue pokedexes at the Mew event/championship they held in Cardiff as part of the promotion for the game and the first movie. We had had great fun trading and battling in those practically pre-internet days and were looking forward to the release of the next game when we presumed we would be able to do it all over again.

A few months later, he died in his sleep from a sudden and unknown condition, so we never got the chance to play pokemon together after that. Now whenever a new Gen comes out I think of the fun times we spent together and as I complete the dex I think of it as doing it in his honour because he's not here to do it himself.
