Like, I dont hate the idea of a competitive game or banlists, but man the way Smogon have been handling thing lately has just sucked. If it can beat one of their six Pokemon they use, that isn't one of those six Pokemon, it's broken and needs to be banned. Instead of adjusting a strategy to beat something and changing your team, if it can somehow beat the "perfect OU pokemon", it should just be banned, instead of using NEW strats (IE: How a game evolves) it just gets banned so the game can go back to being what it was until something that is shittier, but now that the bigger threat is banned is better takes its place just for the same thing to happen.
Like does no one see how flawed this system is? I'm all for a tier system, but it actually has to evolve as the game changes and when something crops up that throws a problem in it, then you change your strategy to overcome, not complain "fuck i have to add like a pokemon i didnt want to use my team of perfect OUmons fuck!!". Of course I think there's a limit and a Pokemon should be banned to Ubers if its too strong, but half the recent bans seem to be "well, it can get over Thundurus and Rotom, I mean there are these other Pokemon I could run to get over it but nah, lets ban it."
