In what way? The fact that it can wall some things? Well there are a lot of others that can do that to. Or maybe it is too powerful offensive. But it gets walled by a lot and doesn't do too much damage especially if it is the uninvested wall variant.

While I do not think Lando-T is broken in any way, I do find flawed logic in (some) of the bans that smogon makes.

If you have to pack a lando counter in your team that does kind of limit teambuilding. This is much like the arguments used in the greninja and other banned pokemon suspect tests.

True, since it usually carries Earthquake+rocks+U-Turn+Knock Off. But I would argue that greninja is not really used in a team hapharzadly, unless it's a shit team. Greninja usually patches up whatever holes the team may have by carrying a coverage move or two. You should be able to at least ballpark greninja's moves by looking at team preview.

need a stealth rock setter? intimidate? knockoff? offensive and defensive pivot? hes common as fuck because he fulfills multiple roles. it would be interesting to see what pokemon may rise in useage when people stop being brain dead and just add lando to their teams.

Ordinary players are actually better at dealing with it. Frogue's getting the axe because Smog's players and meta are built around swapping stuff in and out to handle fights, the kinda thing Frogue decimates, whereas scrubs will just power through it like wet tissue paper.

Kinda like how Stealth Rock cripples unprepared competitive strats, whereas a casual ignores it.

Counters for Greninja are moveset-dependent. Want to switch that Tentacruel in on it? You better pray that it doesn't have Extrasensory. Same for every other "counter" people claim for it to have. you need to have a counter to whatever is most used, in any kind of competitive game, thats just the way it works. the problem is when you need to run multiple, usually specific counters for one pokemon
