>>22456328And this my friends, is why pokemonshowdown is full of shitty matches. Idiots like this spamming Landorus-T and Greninja every game because they just copy the crowd. I'll give you a secret, the following pokemon are REALLY good in OU right now:
1. Weezing (Levitate), 2. Porygon2 (Trace), 3. Stunfisk (Static), 4. Politoed (Water Absorb)
1. First of all, Levitate. This means Weezing's only major weak weakness is Teravolt/Mold Breaker EQs or a strong psychic type. Weezing has amazingly good defenses and his typing makes him pretty good at dealing with powerful fighting, grass, or fairy types - types which are all the rage. He has access to WoW and Toxic Spikes, allowing you to set up shit with him really easily. Thanks to his low hp and high defenses, he can use pain split to keep himself going -- and he doesn't really take that much damage either, even on a solid hit. Just keep him away from special psychic attacks and strong mold breaker hits and you're golden. He can also run Haze/Clear Smog, which is really really really good. He's all around a great tank and support pokemon who can wall lots of common threats and set up against common counters.
2. Wall of Walls. You think Chansey is annoying? Trace is /clutch/ at fucking with people. Counters pokemon w/ Intimidate, pokemon w/ magic bounce, pokemon w/ poison heal, pokemon with flash fire or volt absorb - tons of shit you see in OU. He has access to bolt beam, which makes him relevant with decent SpA. His defense is off the charts -- all you need to do is have a dedicated knock-off counter and you're golden. He can also Magic Coat shit back, which you should do.
3. Holy shit is this guy good. High defense, foul play, and decent SpA moves. Take static and discharge. Fuck anything fast that has a predictable contact move.
4. Forget rain, Whirlpool + Perish Song + Seismic Toss + Protect is where it's at. Counters baton pass teams and other asshole shit. Nobody expects you to get healed off their scald.
