How do we fix this?
IMO:
-mega has 140 spa and 131 spe (base form of Pidgeot has new BST of 499 before mega, giving 5 spd, 10 spa, 5 attack)
-Focus miss of course
-Leaf Storm and some other wind based moves
-Extreme Speed so you have some reason to not just run a mega/chose to run mixed, plus Pidgeot should have really got it by now anyway.
