Is going through the trouble to complete the Natdex worth it for the Shiny Charm? I want to breed shinies and dat 1/1900 chance with MM seems too high. Anyone with a shiny charm that can confirm that it's worth the effort?

I thought MM was something like 1/800 even without shiny charm. I also have not heard whether shiny charm works for anything other than encounters.

I got the shiny charm in Y, and shinies take two weeks average, and they always have a zero IV even though I breed a 3 IV with a 5 IV.

I'd say only do it if you don't have anything better to do.

I am pretty smug about having CAUGHT 'EM ALL, though.

hell. fucking. yes. I did it before I even made it to the battle resort or did one wifi battle, and I love wifi battling. What a feeling of accomplishment man, there ain't much like it in all of video games. And then the shiny and oval charms are just gravy

Funny story... I recently got the shiny charm, like three days ago... I wanted it just so I could have those nice certificates for my base... So I went decorate, then went outside, decided to visit nearby bases, avoid grass... And bam! First encounter was a shiny Nicada.

It was pretty dope.

Going to start breeding soon, but you should definitely get it. There are plenty of good trades on GTS that you can snipe to help complete the dex.
