Yes it's underwhelming and wishes it had stuff like Work Up, Rock Polish, Quick Attack, or even Extremespeed from Togekiss, but the strongest Freeze Dry, Ice Double Edge, and Ice Explosion is pretty niche. Its way better than all the other megas listed.

All Houndoom got was an ability that barely synergizes with the rest of your team and boosts to its Sp.atk and speed. Making it even more of a glass cannon. And even with its increased speed it still gets taken over by most choice scarf users.

Basically if you want to use M-Houndoom, just use Charizard Y

Sorry but while Pidgeot is on this list of screwed over megas, Pidgeot is better than it.

121 speed, 100% acc hurricanes that have slightly more strength than adaptability Porygon-z packing no item is better.

Oh and no at strongest freeze-dry. Cryogonal, Vanilluxe, Aurorus, Aurorus, and Articuno can all have a stronger one if they pack a life orb or so and invest in spa as well.
