i despise smogon too. I got my skill battling from doing battle spot battles ingame, which is a format which is way more fun than smogons evilass OU tier. I disagree with all of their normal pokemon bans save for mega kangaskhan. Mega blaziken? use sashed starmie xD Mega gengar? dies because its sooo frail. Mega lucario? see mega gengar. Aegislash? Ive fought soo many aegis by now its routine to kill them. Mega mawile? puhlease my volcarona and my own mega mawile say hi.
Now they want to ban greninja- ARE THEY FUCKING CRAZY?

Smogon has NO power on OFFICIAL gameplay. They only have control over their simulators which are only good for testing teams before you breed them in the real game or when you are bored and don't want to battle spot.
Also /vp/ boycotting anything will do nothing. There are at most around 200 people on this board and that doesn't account for lurkers. Showdown is THOUSANDS of people and they won't give a crap if a small group of NEETs ignore them.

I know this is a joke and stuff, but how do you even boycott smogon

if you play with friends then you're using your own rules anyway and the outcome of any match doesn't even matter without ranking systems since it's just for fun

vgc and battle spot ranked are slightly competitive, but nobody uses smogon rules in them period, so it's mega khans everywhere

battle spot free is just scrubs and people rampaging with ubers teams

and showdown means you're playing with msogon rulesets and the smogon userbase no matter what

so what do you do to say no to smogon, anyway
