pokemon would be objectively better without critical hits, confusion, damage ranges, accuracy errors, attract, paralysis, multi-turn protect, 1hko moves, and anything else that is luck-based.

Actually its not blackjack because the cards are dealt face up. It's a texas hold em' hand because of the way the player is peeking at the cards. And if it was a blackjack hand that's actually a really good hand, you can split and have 2 33% chances at getting blackjack, you can double too.
