Why not? It's not like any of the other regions introduced anything compelling or worthwhile. Everything after GSC seems so tacked on and forced.

But Kanto DOES appear every couple of years. Hell, XY was practically another Kanto game since it was more concerned about blowing Gen 1 instead of being an interesting region in its own right.

GameFreak will never do it, I know. But there's just something about the shit you could do in Gen 1 with glitches and the glitched pokemon that fascinates me even now.
